Dear Friends,

After eight meaningful years, I will be stepping down from my role at Belwin to begin a new chapter.

It has been an honor to help lead this organization during a period of remarkable growth and impact – all of that growth a team effort. Together, we have expanded Belwin’s staff, board, and volunteer corps. We’ve grown and strengthened community partnerships, increased fundraising and philanthropic support, protected additional acres of land, launched new programs and initiatives, and completed transformative investments—including a new education center—that will share nature with our community for generations to come.

I’m incredibly proud of the momentum we’ve built together and confident in the future of this organization. Belwin has a strong team, a committed board, a dedicated community of supporters and partners, and a clear and enduring mission that will continue to guide its next chapter.

As Belwin enters a new phase of growth and implementation, I believe this is the right time for new leadership and fresh energy for the work ahead.

To support a smooth transition, I will continue in my role, in a part-time capacity starting later this summer, with a plan to stay through the fall or until a new Executive Director is hired. I’m grateful for the opportunity to help ensure continuity and to support the team during this transition. During this time, Belwin’s staff and board will stay in touch with periodic updates on the process.

As for me, I am planning to slow my pace and take time for rest and family. In the fall, I will start to pursue my next chapter, and I’m looking forward to exploring new possibilities.

Thank you for your partnership, trust, and support throughout my time here. I am leaving Belwin proud of all we have accomplished, and with love for the mission, the organization, and all of you—the people who make it all happen. I will always value my time at Belwin.

It has been a privilege to watch Belwin’s community of supporters, partners, volunteers, and nature enthusiasts grow. Thank you for the tremendous opportunity to be a leader in this work. I feel fortunate to have one more summer to be in this community and to collaborate with the staff and board on this transition, and I am excited about what lies ahead for Belwin.

Happy trails,
