Amphibians & Reptiles of Minnesota

October 2 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Minnesota is home to a number of amphibians and reptiles and some of these call Belwin Conservancy their home. We will be hiking and searching for a variety of species, discussing their life cycles, their habitats, and how these amazing creatures prepare for the winter season.

Prepare to hike on trail and off for a good share of the time. Closed toed hiking shoes, long pants, tick protection and a water bottle are highly recommended.

This class will be led by Jim Rue, who worked as a Special Education teacher at Belwin Outdoor Science for more than 18 years. Jim serves as a Naturalist for Belwin Conservancy and helps conduct the annual bird survey. For the past six years he has been monitoring and protecting the local Blanding’s turtle population.

Use course #6075FB to register at commed.spps.org starting September 11, 2021.
