Author Walk & Talk at Belwin’s Oxbow Trails

September 21, 2024
10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Price: Free

Location: Oxbow Trails

Join author Angie Hong and Belwin volunteers for a hike on Belwin’s newest trail system, just north of downtown Afton on St. Croix Trail. This 30-acre parcel of land includes 1.25 miles of trails overlooking Valley Creek, and is a great place to see birds and fall colors. The land was purchased with support from Washington County Land and Water Legacy Program. Meet new people and enjoy conversation with other local nature-lovers. During the hike, Angie will talk about landscape and stream restoration efforts underway at Belwin and other nearby locations. She’ll also bring along copies of her new book for anyone interested in taking home a signed copy.

Angie Hong is the coordinator for Minnesota’s East Metro Water Resource Education Program, a local government partnership with 32 members in Washington, Ramsey, Chisago and Isanti Counties, and is author of the new book “Exploring the St. Croix River Valley: Adventures on and off the Water.” You can find her on TikTok and Instagram at @mnnature_awesomeness.
