Weekend at the Wetlands JuneJun 06 2026 08:00am - 02:00pm1553 Stagecoach Trail S., Afton, MN 55001

Belwin’s Education Site welcomes thousands of students from Saint Paul and Stillwater every year. This June, you’re invited to explore this special site during two days of open community hiking.

Naturalist guided hikes will be available throughout the day, or choose your own adventure as you explore miles of trail through woodlands, wetlands, and prairie.

Limitless Cycling will be on site for demonstrations of adaptive equipment, providing access to the outdoors for individuals with mobility challenges. On Sunday, join us for a story time reading at the Peter J. King Family Foundation Wetland Center. Martha Harding and Gary Noren will read from their children’s book, Fam: The Remarkable Story of a Canada Goose Adopted by Sandhill Cranes.

Trails at the Education Site are accessible to hikers of all ages and include a mix of paved, mowed grass, and gravel.

This event is free, but we ask that you RSVP to help us plan for parking and staffing.
