Native American Community Engagement Specialist

The Native American Community Engagement Specialist is a new position created to nurture the expansion of the partnership between Anishinabe Academy and Belwin. This person will collaborate closely with the Program Coordinator and Anishinabe Academy school staff to continue developing outdoor education programming rooted in Dakota and/or Ojibwe cultural teachings. As our programming expands to include more of the urban Native American community, the Native American Community Engagement Specialist will be essential in fostering sustainable programmatic growth while weaving families, community members, and new partners into programs and events at both organizations.

The ideal candidate will have work or lived experience within Native American communities in Minnesota, and Dakota and/or Ojibwe language knowledge. This is a grant-funded position with funding secured through June 30th, 2027; we hope to secure additional funds to continue the position beyond that date.

Job open until filled.
